Today at the Press Conference, one of the things Gonzales said signifies the fight to come. Although Jonathan covered most of the points, Gonzales main point was to reiterate, numerous times that the US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President.
And, while true, this means only one thing, the Administration and this Justice Department are taking this fight as yet another absurd statement of their unquestionable power. If Democrats are at all serious about the things Pelosi and Hoyner talked about in their conference today, investigations must start, and it needs to be made clear to Mr. Bush that impeachment of his AG is most definitely on the table.
That's the scary part, once again they sincerely believe that what they did was not wrong, only that they didn't properly brief Congress.
